Cinco de Mayo

Latin Babe and Beach Bum!




Hope all had an “Ole” of a day on Cinco de Mayo!! Thought ours was gonna be a bust, but all turned out ok. Got a slow start getting to the beach and when we did get there…that was a bust!

First, the winds had really calmed and there were no waves. The temps had warmed and it wasn’t as comfortable sitting in the sun. But never mind, we had our beach umbrella to give us shade…NOT! Away it blew (how it did that with no wind?) and down into the water it went. In Frank’s attempt to get up out of his chair…you know one of those little chairs that sits your butt so low in the sand that you need a crane to lift you out…it crashed; not Frank, the chair, but Frank went boom, too! Our $40 state-of-the-art beach chair mangled, while the umbrella went rolling into the deep blue sea. Well, the umbrella was recovered, but the chair was a total loss and so was the rest of the afternoon on the beach. We needed refreshments!!

We went on our quest for Margaritas and Tacos. At least that wasn’t a bust! We found La Rumba and it was hopping like a bunch of drunken cucarachas! Margaritas were served in fishbowls (happy hour 2 for 1!!!) and we found that to be just what we needed after a tough day at the beach! Mix those with good Burritos,Tacos and some Latin music and our day turned out BUENO!! And yes, Matt, I realize that Cinco de Mayo comes on the same day every year just like Christmas!*lol*

Now, we just have to go in search of another beach chair…and of course it has to match the other one!!
