My 60th was celebrated with family, classmates…some coming from far away, and friends old and new. The party was at my sister’s…thanks Sis and Allan for working so hard to help me plan and open up your home on June 12 for all my guests. The evening turned out to be the hottest and most humid of the summer…oh, sure!! Lots of liquids drunk that night…and not just water! The menu was pulled pork, chicken wings, slaw, and white beans catered by KirknBurt’s. My friend Karen Lee Shaver also made jalapeño corn muffins and her wonderful salsa! The birthday cupcakes…strawberry with cream cheese icing…were made by Paige Hargett. Everything was just perfect to help me celebrate “THE BIG 60”!!
