Here it is September 8, and I’m thinking I have gotten way behind on this blog. Maybe I should back up to where I left off…after the 60th party…to catch up on the who, what, when, where of this trip!!
After the Big 6-0 party, Matt and Beth were in town for a few more days. Beth had never been to Nashville, so we took a little trip downtown on a very hot day!! We had not been since the flood and were pleasantly surprised how Nashville had recovered. Actually, we couldn’t get down on the riverfront because of the Country Music stuff going on…Fanfare was in full swing!!

After Matt and Beth left, Frank and I hung out a few more days in the Boro visiting family and friends. We were soon back on the road and heading north. We didn't travel too far, Kentucky was our first stop.
MAMMOTH CAVE...CAVE CITY, KENTUCKY
Frank had never been to Mammoth Cave so we decided to spend a couple of nights and go on the tour. We spent two nights and one day in the cave. It was the only cool place around!! The temperature had climbed to a 100 degrees, but the cave offered a comforting 55 degrees!!

Had to get on the road and head north...looking for cooler temperatures than in the south! We were on our way to Brighton, Michigan and the Renswick RV Resort...friends Rosi and John would be our hosts!
