Sunrise at Myrtle

Myrtle Beach September 23-30
Another place we like to stay when on the east coast route is Ocean Lakes at Myrtle Beach, SC. A huge campground right on the ocean where we always get an oceanfront site. It’s a super busy place! Golf carts darting about, RV’s coming and going, a great place to take morning walks, and of course, watch the beautiful sunrises.

RELAXING ON THE BEACH
While here we once again got to see our friends, Charlie and Barb. The last we saw them was in Boothbay, Maine when we camped there for 10 days…they were our RV neighbors. Here in South Carolina, they have a beautiful home at Heritage Plantation located at Pawley’s Island. That was just a short drive from Myrtle Beach. We drove over for dinner and they took us sightseeing on the Island. Can’t believe I didn’t get my camera out and take some pictures! The marshes were so beautiful. What a lovely couple and an enchanting community! We also were able to get in a goodbye lunch with Charlie and Barb later in the week at PF Chang’s before we left for Charleston.
